BUY BETTER: 20% OF PROCEEDS DONATED TO CHARITY
We’re excited to collaborate with The Reef-World Foundation and Bristol-based illustrator Lily Knibbs to create a collection that protects and conserves coral reefs by supporting the development of the Green Fins Digital Membership Platform. In partnership with the UN Environment Program, Green Fins is a Reef-World Foundation initiative that promotes environmental guidelines for a sustainable diving and snorkeling industry.

A collection with a cause:
Not only does 20% the proceeds fund marine conservation, but it’s our joint hope the gear will encourage others to take action to save the reefs - one of our planet's lifelines.

Currently available in 12 countries globally, The Reef-World Foundation drives sustainable behaviors for environmental protection by providing low-cost and practical solutions to environmental challenges associated with marine tourism.

Our shared vision is to make sustainable diving and snorkeling the social norm. PADI’s second Pillar of Change - Industry Sustainability - is dedicated to reducing the global footprint of the diving industry. As the world’s largest diver training organization, we have the opportunity to work with dive centers globally to build collective lasting change.

Launched in 2022, the Green Fins Digital Platform enables every marine tourism operator globally to engage with the Green Fins initiative and communicate peer-to-peer with other dive professionals around the globe, sharing solutions to common environmental challenges.

About the Partnership:
Since 2018, PADI has worked in partnership with The Reef-World Foundation to realize the potential of our community as an example of how a global industry can successfully support people, planet and profit. Our shared vision is to make sustainable diving and snorkeling the social norm, thereby improving the health of coral reefs across the global ocean.

"The Green Fins Digital Membership allows us to scale our impact on a level Green Fins has never seen before. Now any marine tourism operator, regardless of where they are located, will be able to identify threats to marine ecosystems and prioritize ways to make positive improvements.” - James Harvey, Director of The Reef-World Foundation

"There are about 20 million certified scuba divers out there with 1 million new divers certified each year. Looking at the collective industry, we want to see how we can do even better to work with nature instead of against it. That’s the ethos at the heart of what Green Fins is trying to do."
